...between my posts, time is flying and so many things to see. We have bought our eurostar tickets to Paris for Monday...Visite de Londres: la tour, Westminster, Big Ben, the markets, Parliament, le pont qui se leve , la City et les hommes d'affaires presses qui mangent leur "pret-a-manger" au soleil, la National Gallery, et on y voit en vrai des dizaines de tableaux (Van Gogh, Cezanne,Monet, Renoir, ouf !) et le Brit Museum with all its incredible collection from all over the world. Just walking down any street is a treat, but sitting down to eat can be a little (!) expensive...Encore 2 jours a faire, et en perspective: le Eye, le Tate Museum, le NAtural History (expo sur Darwin ?) et thank god on prevoit deux beaux jours...
The tube is great, we can get around very effectively. But don't look for pictures of all the statues we see in town, chances are it is a colonialist, but we will look for all the poets, the novelists and great scientists, they must be around somewhere. Too bad, no time, but especially, no room for visiting the used bookstores...
